Tajian and the "harova" familyThe entrance to Harova, the new residential neighborhood in old Jaffa is located on 13 to 17 Yefet Street, opposite the "new" city's gate. The Tajian family built its first estate outside the city's walls in this location 130 years ago. Later the Tajian family members sold the estate to the Bust family, one of the reputable merchant families in the city that often entertained eminent personalities and rulers at balls. It's obvious that the guests always enjoyed fine French wine. "November Club" which was one of the most popular places in Tel-Aviv-Jaffa and was located here in the 1970's. The Tajian estate is part of the Harova project today. |
